What to expect at your initial consultation?

 

A member of our team will meet with you one-on-one to discuss your weight loss goals, health history, and explain how our 9-week wellness program works. If you are a local and coming into the office, we will also perform a body composition at your consultation to measure body fat and visceral fat. If you are remote or opting to meet virtually, we will demonstrate a sample of this information and how to be able to measure it on your own. You have the option of choosing to do the consultation either in-person or over Zoom and the appointment will take 45 minutes – one hour typically. 


We invite you to either bring with you to the office (or have with you over Zoom) anyone that might be helping you to make health decisions or other decisions regarding this plan so we can answer everyone’s questions live at that time. 


Is the plan hard to follow?

Most people find our plans easy to follow, the ones that have thought it was hard at first always find by the end that it’s still the easiest way they ever lost weight. Think about it this way, if you follow a traditional diet for 6 months and only lose 5-10lbs, that’s pretty frustrating, but if we can create a custom plan for you that has the potential to slim you down by 2 sizes in just 6 weeks, it’s going to be a little more structured, but the payoff in the end is HUGE. 


Do you have to take a bunch of diet pills?

No, we specifically avoid diet pills because starving your body does not “fix” your metabolism, and it has the potential to make it worse. Everything that we use from the food list for weight loss, to the vitamins and minerals you might be taking is from real food and plants, nothing artificial, synthetic, and no drugs or diet pills that make your heart race. 

After I lose the weight is it easy to keep it off?

Yes, you will be receiving both instruction and education around how food impacts your weight and your health. By the end you will have a good feel for what works best for you now and what will work best as a balanced lifestyle where you do not feel like you are ever dieting again. 


The most important part after losing weight is being able to eat enough of the right foods that fuel your metabolism, and being able to eat all of your favorite foods (yes, even the "non-health" foods) and make this a lifestyle. 

 

We continue to work with our clients based on their current goals whether it is to continue losing weight, maintaining their weight loss, or a completely new health goal. 

 


Do I have to exercise?

NO! There is no exercise required, if you are currently active and want to continue your current activity level, that is fine, you don't need to modify or change your activity level.  This approach focused on metabolic function has nothing to do with exercise or your activity level, so regardless of your activity level, you can and will have results with us without having to drastically modify your routine.
